Trunk or Treats Galore!

Halloween is right around the corner, so let the festivities begin! Before your kids go door to door on Halloween night, they can hop from trunk to trunk or truck to truck at one of our area’s many Trunk or Treat events happening this month. These activities have gained popularity over the past few years and more keep popping up. From fire halls, school parking lots, community centers, farmers markets and beyond; these outings are filled with fun themes, spooky decorations, and tons of candy and goodies for all. All this trunk or treating creates a ton of candy wrapper waste. Did you know there is a program called “Trick or Trash” where empty plastic candy wrappers can be recycled and turned into new items after they are cleaned and processed? Knack Creative Studio in Danville will have a “Trick or Trash Box” available in their studio and empty candy wrappers can be dropped off to be recycled. Save those empty plastic wrappers and turn them into something good!
