Located in Northumberland, PFML has been an active participant in the community since 1926! The library has ties to Joseph Priestley, an English chemist/scientist/philosopher, and continues to run programs that offer myriad STEM learning opportunities.

PFML is proud a proud part of the Family Place Libraries Network, which builds on the knowledge that good health, early learning, parental involvement and supportive communities play a critical role in a young child’s growth and development. The overall goal of Family Place Libraries is to develop a family friendly environment by transforming libraries into community centers for literacy, early childhood development, parent education and engagement, family support, and community information.
